For the past 16 years I have been part of a team developing a free online genomics resource (VEuPathDB.org) that provides access to large scale omics data and enables laboratory scientists to ask their own questions and develop novel hypotheses. This has been an incredibly rewarding experience where my role has been to direct the project’s scientific outreach activities and more recently managing the entire operation.
