I established the parasitesrule website to provide an online place for the parasitology community to learn about relevant conferences, jobs, colleagues. This website also provides pages for key parasitology meetings including the Molecular Parasitology Meeting (MPM), the Kinetoplastid Molecular Cell Biology Meeting (KMCB) and others

I co-founded the  The Middle East Biology of Parasitism (MeBoP) Course, high-caliber scientific course that covers various aspects of parasitology from molecular biology and epidemiology to genomics, targeting for participants in the Middle East as well as North and Sub-Saharan Africa. I successfully directed this annual course since its inception. 

I served on Al-Bustan's board of directors, and I assumed the role of Board chairman between 2012 and 2022. Al-Bustan is a leader in the arts and culture scene in Philadelphia. During my tenure I supported the organization's development and expansion. played a pivotal role in developing the organization's strategic plan and help navigate the organization through a critical transition period as the organization hired a new executive director.
